SCRAPADELIC VIDEOCAST #7: The Pen Tool
This week I'll show you how to remove a background using the pen tool. Yes, it's the dreaded pen tool! This tool takes time to master but once you get it, you really GET it! And once you get used to it you'll find yourself using it a lot.

The pen tool is simply a tool to create a path. It operates on the premise of Bezier curves. I won't go into a long explanation of Bezier curves, I'll just show you how they work. I hope you get a better understanding of the pen tool with this tutorial. Like anything, it takes practice to achieve good results.

Note: This week's episode is longer than usual, therefore larger in file size. It may take a few minutes to load the video.

    AWESOME job, Ronna! What a help this will be to alot of scrappers. The pen tool was probably the most intimidating tool for me to learn, but you're right, it's a priceless tool to have when working with extractions! I'm so impressed with your tutorials...you make them easy, understandable and all within 5 minutes!

    This tutorial was just what I needed with one exception...I am getting a white background instead of transparent at the end of the tutorial. I have tried everything! Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

    Once you are finished cleaning, stuff your uggs metallic or shoes with paper towels to hold the structure of the boot. The weight of the classic mini uggs when they are wet may cause the boots to lose their shape. The paper towels will absorb some of the moisture that has come through the outer shell of the bailey button boot. Once you fill them with paper towels put them in a cool place with low light to let them dry.
